Why join the SRC?

Because the State Rehabilitation Council, (SRC) a federally authorized organization, can have a very powerful, positive impact on the lives of Maine’s blind citizens, the SRC needs committed, capable people to help do its vital work.

As a council member appointed by the governor, you will have a unique opportunity to help Maine’s blind citizens effectively prepare for meeting the unique challenges of living and working with a loss of vision and obtaining meaningful employment.

If you are interested in playing an active role in improving Maine’s services for the blind and improving the quality of life for those with vision loss, Maine’s SRC for DBVI is an excellent opportunity for you to make a difference.

New Member Guide and Resources.

To learn what the SRC needs in an effective member read the New Member Resources and the SRC Job Description.
